how to say—or somehow convey—"thank you"
Sometimes we have off days. Sometimes we have anxiety or stress. Sometimes we need to stop and smell the roses, and sometimes we need people to tell us to do so. The thing is, at least for me, when someone is there to give me a hug, that gesture, in it of itself, deserves an unbounded amount of gratitude from yours truly. But besides saying the trite "Thank You," what other ways can one portray a sense of gratitude? Take the advice that the person gave you, remember to breathe, and—if you're really intent on a display of gratefulness—provide a small token of your appreciation.
